X House

• Location: Nuzha, Kuwait

X House lies on a relatively large plot on a prominent urban street. Each level is set back significantly with terraces and structural plates to give the illusion of dynamic floating floors, with an emphasis on curves for added softness and elegance.

X House’s main facade gives a glorious reading of the entirety of the house as it staggers back, with a large green courtyard in the front. The side of the house facing the inner road is relatively subdued, merging with the scale and rhythm of the neighborhood. The third facade, delegated to the elder son’s family, reads visually as its own standalone house.
